Positions:
TAX SEASON INTERNSHIP
CMP is seeking motivated, personable individuals to help grow our firm. We provide a unique opportunity to discover public accounting by making a difference in team members’ lives and the clients we serve. Be a part of that difference. Our tax season internships start mid-January and end on the tax filing deadline. Typically, we will retain two interns following tax season throughout the year on an hourly basis. In addition, we add 1-2 full-time salaried positions per year. Those decisions are expected to be made, and interns will be notified by April 5.
EXPECTATIONS:
- Start date – mid-January
- End date – tax filing deadline in April
- Work a minimum of 25 hours a week (more if desired)
- Training and interaction with staff at ALL levels of the firm
- Communication and interaction with clients
- Preparation of individual, business, and trust tax returns
- Basic accounting knowledge

Senior Tax Accountant – Salt Lake City
Applicants must be able to manage projects and utilize other team members to accomplish tax-related work products. Accountants at CMP will also be expected to help promote the firm and team members with existing clients and referral sources. Accountants will enjoy close client relationships and will be expected to develop additional relationships. This position is for our Salt Lake City location.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:
- MUST HAVE 3 to 5 years of experience
- MUST BE A CPA
- MUST have experience in using QuickBooks
- MUST have a working knowledge of Lacerte

Accounting Administrative Assistant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting department by performing various administrative tasks and assisting in financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate should have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Invoicing and Billing:
– Generate and process invoices for clients.
– Ensure timely and accurate billing.
- Administrative Support:
– Provide administrative support to the accounting team.
– Assist in organizing and maintaining financial documents and files.
- Communication:
– Respond to inquiries and provide support to both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience:
– Previous experience in an administrative or accounting role is an advantage.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office software.
– Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Audit Senior or Manager – Logan
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Audit Senior or Manager who wants to grow their career with the audit team. Responsibilities
- Oversee the efforts of multiple client engagements in a wide variety of industries with the ability to manage to budget.
- Demonstrate ability to recognize problems and propose sensible solutions
- Balance assigned workload between self and team members

- Demonstrate the ability to supervise and train interns and junior team members
- Be willing and available to travel to serve clients on location
Qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience
- CPA or CPA eligible
- Strong knowledge in U.S. GAAP and GAAS
- Able to research and resolve complex accounting issues
- Impeccable analytical and diagnostic skills
- Ability to break down complex issues and implement appropriate resolutions
